Stevie Wonder boycotts Florida


As reported by the New York Daily News, "Stevie Wonder boycotts Florida after George Zimmerman trial verdict: 'Until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again,' the soul musician announced during a concert in Quebec City," by Margaret Eby, on 16 July 2013  --   Stevie Wonder is speaking out after George Zimmerman was acquitted in the Trayvon Martin case last week.

The beloved soul singer announced during a concert in Quebec City that he would be boycotting Florida until the controversial Stand Your Ground Law is revoked.

"I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again," Wonder, 63, said on Sunday. "As a matter of fact, wherever I find the law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world." (read more: New York Daily News)
