Slavery and its Variants

Throughout the centuries, people have captured, sold, bought, chained, compelled, and coerced other human beings. The practice has been so prevalent, has lasted so long, and has been so difficult to curb (it still exists in may countries) that it almost seems normal.

Richard Harvey, the lecturer, is a teacher of literature and a psychotherapist in private practice.
